The Shard now dominates London's skyline. Love it or hate it you certainly can't ignore Renzo Piano's creation. Opening to the public in Feb 2013 the new visitor experience "The view from the Shard" is set to become one of the "must do when in London" experiences. We at D-tours were given a sneaky pre-opening tour and the verdict is "amazing". The first amazing thing even before the extraordinary birds eye view of London was that fact that the first of 2 lift rides to the summit went up 33 floors in 19 seconds and I couldn't even feel it accelerate or slow down again!
